Love
In the 7th century from a Latin script, the 26 letter alphabet was created. And out of the 26 letters in this alphabet nearly 273,000 words can be created through combining these 26 letters in different sequences, but who's counting. Love. Four letters. L, O, V, E, the same letters that can also be found in the words "evolve" and "volvo" and despite using the same individual letters, each word holds such a specific weight and meaning to it. However I suppose that is just how language works anyway. The word "love" in specific is different though because somehow, someone, somewhere, decided that one of the most powerful and intense emotions, feelings really, only deserved four out of the 26 possible letters. But I would argue that this word is the most deserving of 26 of the 26 letters due to the significant ties it holds to the very composition of our humanity, the composition of us. A mother cradling a newborn after nearly losing her life during labor, but regardless holding her child close to her chest in admiration and relief of the entry of her gift of love into the world. The same world in which her child will be loved, give love, and see love being distributed all around to those both similar and different from themselves. Somehow though when asked how she feels while coddling her child, the only word which comes to mind is the very same four letter word in which a homeless person says aloud when asked how they feel about their furry companion, who is by their side through the tribulations accompanied with true poverty. Despite the difference in circumstance, social or economical status, and even geographical location, love is and has the ability to be felt by everyone, everywhere, because it is what has created us.
That is all, the oxymoron that the word love is, the simplicity in the look of the word despite the magnitude of the meaning.
